Car torque Roadshow
August 2004

Broadcast dates : 29th August 2004
2nd September 2004

Winner - Linda Smit

Winner - Maria Pretorius

Winner - Gerg Goosen

The first Car Torque Road Show was held in August 2004. It gave the chance for over 100 of our viewers to get up-close and dangerous, not only with a mouthwatering array of exotic cars, but with our presenters.

The venue for the Road Show was the brand new, multi-million rand Investment Cars showroom in Bryanston.

And drinking in the atmosphere of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, Chrysler Vipers and the like was almost a religious experience for some of the guests

For most, there was one simple reason for being there – the cars.

Clint made it to the show only a few minutes late, after setting pole position at Kyalami for his race the following day.

And Hendrik, as usual, was his charming self

David played a different role on the evening, acting as MC and doing a lucky number draw.

The winners would get the chance to for a once-in-a-lifetime whirl in Lamborghini’s latest model – the V10-engined Gallardo.

First up was Linda Smit, with Investment Cars’ Grant Anderson doing the driving honours.

It seemed the ladies had all the luck as Maria Pretorius was the next lucky contender drawn. Maria had flown back from business commitments in Mauritius specially to see the cars and meet the Car Torque team.

Greg Goosen knew it was his special destiny to be at The Road Show and he was the final guest to experience raw Italian power.

The Car Torque Road Show is a great way for us to meet our viewers and talk about our favourite subject. Yes, you guessed it... Cars... Cars... Cars!

The next Car torque Road Show will take place on Friday the 1st of October. Tickets are free, but limited to one hundred. First come, first served!
