Car torque is a weekly half-hour motoring show broadcast on SABC3 on Sunday afternoons at 16h00.

We're now into series 9 which runs to August 2008.

The production style of Car torque is very different from any other motoring programme produced in this country to date. We focus on the experience of motoring rather than just facts, stats and pretty pictures. By using specialist state-of-the-art on-board camera equipment, a fast-paced edit style and highly credible presenters, the series brings the motoring experience into the viewer’s lounge.

While car specs and testing are an important part of the show, our presenters tell you what it’s actually like to drive, to ride in, to own, and whether or not you should waste your time daydreaming about your favourite car. Our approach is that viewers tune in to see what we really think of a vehicle, that unmeasurable, subjective opinion that doesn’t come up in the stats and specs. That subjective approach is how we choose a car after all – a lot of what we fancy backed up by a little of what we know.
